Expert Speaker

Sam Sim

Sam was Regional Vice-President (Europe, Middle-East, Africa, Asia and Latin America), Tax Executive Institute and Chair of Capital Markets Tax Committee Transfer Pricing sub-committee. He was previously Deputy Global Head of Transfer Pricing at a leading European MNE and Transfer Pricing Geography Leader for Europe, Middle-East, Africa and Asia Pacific at the largest global US IT MNC.

Sam has board level experience on Finance Audit & Risk and Disciplinary Committees and is a current member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants’ Ethics Committee.  He has an unique blend of practical and academic experience, having lectured at the Master of Tax programme at Singapore University of Social Science, University of Leiden's Executive Tax Program, Vienna University’s Transfer Pricing course and IBFD programmes. He was a tax attorney in New York and holds graduate degrees in Law (NYU LL.M.(Tax), Economics (M.A., Cambridge University) and Accounting (MPA, SMU).

Sam is able to explain complex tax concepts in an easy-to-understand and clear manner. He is the author of several Transfer Pricing publications, including the Singapore Master Transfer Pricing Guide (CCH).
