Dr. Veerinderjeet Singh, Group Non-Executive Chairman, Axcelasia Inc, graduated from the University of Malaya with a first class honours degree in accountancy in 1979 and obtained his Doctorate from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2000. Veerinderjeet has served with the Malaysian Inland Revenue Department and has held the position of Associate Professor in Taxation at the Faculty of Economics & Administration, University of Malaya. He has served as an Executive Director/Tax Partner in the Malaysian tax practice of two of the then Big 5 international accounting firms. He is a Founder and Chairman of Axcelasia Taxand, which is a member of the Taxand Global Organisation of independent tax firms worldwide. He also sits on the Taxand Global Board. Veerinderjeet is a Past President of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia, current Vice President of the MICPA and has served as a Council Member of the MIA. He has been actively involved in contributing his views to the Ministry of Finance on various matters related to the Malaysian tax system. He has authored a number of books and articles on taxation, both in Malaysia and internationally. He is also an Independent Director on the Boards of a listed entity, a local bank and a rating agency in Malaysia.
